Dr. Ashley Steffens is a board-certified dermatologist, mom, and outdoor enthusiast who founded HelioShield after struggling to find sun-protective swimwear that was comfortable, flattering, and designed for women in their 30s and 40s.

Frustrated by limited styles, uncomfortable fabrics, and a lack of inclusive sizing, she set out to create something better. HelioShield offers thoughtfully designed sun-protective swimwear in sizes XS–3X and talls, with features like built-in shorts, pockets, and 360° mesh for added comfort, shaping, and confidence.
